DUPR-Flex MatchPlay Leagues
Welcome to the future of your pickleball experience! DUPR is a rating system used in clubs and tournaments nationwide that uses an algorithm to determine your skill level. This is useful, and often mandatory, as you seek to play your “true” level, when you travel between clubs, public courts, or attend tournaments. Learn more DUPR by clicking How It Works

How the Dink Tank’s DUPR Flex MatchPlay League works:
The Flex-league means you can join any of the qualifying listed session slots, and have different partners each session, if you wish. The DUPR league helps rated individuals develop their rating with more competitive matches, as well as helping unrated players start to develop an accurate DUPR rating for tournaments. The currently rated players can work to improve their score by playing with similarly rated players. It’s important to ONLY join the sessions that fit your DUPR situation. All DUPRs will be verified.
There will be a variety of session times to join. Participants should aim for one session per week, or at minimum, once per month to stay in the league standings.. If you wish to join more than one session per week, and there is space, your team may join an additional second league slot, but you may only register up to 48 hrs prior. This gives room for league team sessions with more players. The times slots for each level session will change periodically to give all participants a variety of times for match-play. When you’re ready to sign up, declare your INTENTION TO JOIN by typing your info here DUPR FLEX LEAGUE
How will it work if you’re unrated?
If a player in a match is unrated, the algorithm assumes they are 3.5 as an average starting point. After about 10-20 matches, especially once other opponents become rated as well, the DUPR rating starts to develop more accurately. Learn more at www.DUPR.com
How the sessions will work:
- Each session only has 3 team spots. (6 players)
- Each league group will utilize one court.
- You will play 2 games, sit 1. ( Roughly 6-7 games per 2hr session)
- Play through regular scoring games to 11, win by 2, sudden death at 13.
- Keep records of the session on the provided print out sheets located on court, and place in the “recorded scores” file when finished. The Dink Tank staff will input all scores into DUPR through the club’s admin portal.
- Ideally, all games in the session are played and recorded for DUPR ratings.
- Exceptions
- A player becomes too tired, injured or otherwise does not feel they can perform their best, and notifies players BEFORE the game starts, in which case the results may be omitted.
- If a player gets injured during the match and has to stop.
- If all players/teams on court unanimously decide to stop recording game scores for any reason. (At least one game per team is required to be recorded during each session).
- Rotate clockwise or counter clockwise on/off the court, to ensure you play the correct teams in order and are switching sides.
- League Standings will be ranked by individual DUPR-Based and updated monthly on the League Leaderboard on Court one. We will display the top 10 spots for each league.
- You must have played at least one session per calendar month, to still be in the league standings.
- Leagues are ongoing, and flexible in day/time and participation. As your DUPR score changes you will be eligible to join higher level league sessions, and regional or national pickleball tournaments.
- If your DUPR score drops below the min. Required score for the league you are enrolled, you are required to self report this within one month and register for the appropriate league.
- At minimum, 2 teams must sign up 72hrs prior to a session, or it will auto-cancel.
- Each participant must input their DUPR data on the DUPR Flex League excel sheet located HERE>> DUPR FLEX LEAGUE<< before signing up for a session.
-Please do not sign up solo, you must reach out to a qualifying member by checking the spreadsheet for your league group to see who is signed up, or reach out to members on your own (use CR member directory) to plan ahead with your teammate for the session. All DUPR scores are public view, so after you create an acct, you can verify potential member league partners scores at www.DUPR.com If you would like to play, but are in search of a partner, please put your information on the “DUPR League Partner Search” sheet on the community board and/or try asking Dayton. You may coordinate games with other players in your league, to sign up during the same session. You can do this using the DUPR league directory (which will be emailed, and posted on the community board).
NOTE: WHEN YOU DECLARE YOUR INTENTION TO JOIN ON THE SPREADSHEET, PLEASE CHOOSE THE APPROPRIATE GROUP TAB AT THE BOTTOM. IF YOU ARE UNSURE WHICH GROUP LEVEL TO JOIN, PLEASE REACH OUT TO DAYTON, HE CAN GIVE YOU A PROVISIONAL DUPR RATING.

Other ways to submit scores and keep improving your DUPR:
Private Rec Games: If all players agree to record to DUPR before a game starts, you may use the court sheets to track games, use the app, or take home and self-input games into DUPR. However, all players will need to login and verify correct game scores through DUPR email notifications.
Please be HONEST and if you agreed to record the game DUPR score, follow through and verify even when you lose. DUPR takes sore losers seriously.
Challenge Courts: Please let the challenge court coordinator know that you would like your DUPR score recorded against others that also agree. Use the sheets on court to record the appropriate games, and place them in the “record to DUPR” file. The Dink Tank staff will upload scores to DUPR.
